There’s new stuff up for grabs ever-so-often, and here’s all that we picked up in our three-hour-long shopping spree.

Long, flowy cotton shirt dresses have been an indisputable trend this season. And luckily for us, we spotted chic shirt-cum-shift dresses in the busy lanes of Laxmi Road. Priced at INR 350 each, we bought one in wine colour and another one with black and red Oxford checks.

This streetside cart near Hotel Akshay on Laxmi Road sells the prettiest handbags, backpacks and purses at throwaway prices. We got a cute tan backpack, studded in stones for INR 200. Check out for more options in hazelnut brown, soft pink, tamarind yellow and more.

If you’re a hoarder of accessories and have stayed in Pune for a while, then you would know Laxmi Road is a one-stop destination for everything silver and junk. What did we get? Priced at INR 150 each, the long silver and gold chains with floral and sun engravings look extremely elegant and contemporary and will definitely blend with any outfit. We also loved this dual-tone beaded neck piece in hot pink and bright turquoise for INR 100.

Loved the 60s? Then this vintage Murphy Radio from Balaji Electronics will make you happy. We got this one for INR 600. For something which is secondhand, the product is in good condition, works perfectly fine and is worth your money.

From phone cases to coffee mugs and laptop sleeves, Minions are a big craze out here! However, we were quite surprised to stumble upon a Minion cushion, and trust us, it’s the most adorable thing we found on Laxmi Road. Priced at INR 200, we bought this from Parag Handlooms.

Men in the house, got a wedding to attend? Head to Z9 Fashion, opposite Balaji Electronics on Laxmi Road, for an amazing collection of colourful Nehru jackets in tomato red, dark blue, fuchsia, purple and more. Priced at INR 500, we bought a vermilion jacket in khadi.

Move over ripped and mom jeans, we are in love with high-waist skinny jeans from HD Collection. They have tons of these in various shades of blue and black, so pick what suits you the best. Priced at INR 400 each {yes, that’s right} we got two pairs in sky and midnight blue.

Kala Shoes at Laxmi Road is known for its collection of handcrafted premium Kolhapuri sandals. Made in camel leather with intricate embroidery, we bought a pair of men’s slip-ons from here for INR 700. A little expensive, but the quality makes up for everything else.

Make your balcony look Pinterest-worthy with gorgeous lanterns from Laxmi Road, starting at INR 150. The bronze lanterns out here are quite light, affordable and easy to carry. Perfect to hang in your terrace garden, these lanterns made us feel weak in the knees.

If you’re a fan of Indo-Western clothing, you would love the jacket collection at Vandana. Sleeveless and comfy, these jackets are painstakingly hand-stitched in multi-color threads, featuring small round mirrors, floral designs and more. We got this Gujrati-print jacket for INR 500 that goes perfectly with our tube tops and summer dresses.
