Hosted by the Samant family, this romantic yet eco-friendly farmstay is all about unwinding yourself in the most sustainable way possible! Traditionally, Maachli means a cottage that is constructed on a farmland to look over the irrigation process.
The quaint cottage at Maachli is built on a 338 square feet of land, abundant of coconut, beetle nut, banana, jack fruit and spice plantations. There is a spacious balcony that overlooks the greenery. The room with wooden furniture, flooring and elegant lamps, has a rustic touch to it. Since the concept is all about getting closer to nature, the rooms do not have air conditioners, television and WiFi. And, we thought this was the best part about Maachli!
Eating at Maachli, is a very unique experience in itself. The dining area is called the Pavhner and the food is served on a banana leaf. The menu {veg and non-veg} is carefully curated, keeping in mind the medical and nutritional values of everything you consume. Food is cooked in a mud stove, that adds a distinct flavour to the preparation. As for cutlery, earthen pots are used to serve food. Vegetables that are served are organically grown in the farms and the village.

Explore Maachli and the surrounding places while you’re staying there. Take a walk down the village and experience old-school Konkani mud houses surrounded in spice plantations. If you’re there on a Friday, go on a shopping spree at the weekly bazaar! If you want some peace and quiet, we suggest you go to the nearby beach or spend quality time by the beautiful waterfall at the farm.
