Alibaug is roughly 3.5-4 hours drive {143km} from Pune by car. Mama’s House is located just a few minutes {around 3km} away from Alibaug city center. If you don’t feel like driving, there are also MSRTC ‘semi-luxury’ buses that operate between Pune and Alibaug, but the journey takes longer {around 5-6 hours} between cities.

When we said ‘Santorini-style’, we weren’t kidding – the entire house, exterior and interior, is decorated in white and blue. It’s more soothing than you’d expect, and the ambience is super cosy.  The ground floor two-bedroom suite is ideal for families, but if you’re heading here with bae, the first floor bedroom or suite are perfect for couples who prefer their alone time.

When you’re not soaking up the sun outside, enjoy a relaxing soak in one of their ensuite bathtubs! Common areas include a large dining area, conference room, and a pool with a lovely patio-garden and outdoor seating area. What we love most about Mama’s House is that it also boasts serene views of the Sahyadris, and a quiet, rural atmosphere.

Run by Mayur and Minal Jadhav, Mama’s House promises top-notch hospitality – even serving their own home-style Kokani food {breakfast, lunch, and dinner}. Nearby attractions include Varsoli beach {1km away}, Akshi beach {8km away}, Nagaon beach {10km away}, and Kashid beach {31km away}.
