Renowned for their authentic Maharashtrian fare, Maratha Samrat is nothing short of iconic. Authentic Varhadi, Malvani, and Kolhapuri specialities dominate the menu – but their non-veg {chicken, mutton, seafood} thalis are the stand-out for us. Reasonably priced, their thaalis are ‘unlimited’, so you can eat like a king without spending a fortune. They’re extremely popular and packed during the usual meal-times, so it’s best to get there early or on-time as they don’t take table bookings. Make sure you order the chicken or mutton thali, and any of the regional-style mains.
