Another gem offering traditional Maharashtrian food with interesting flavours, Mathura offers a great variety of dishes. The thalipeeth here is usually served with Mataki Usal, making for an extremely healthy and tasty breakfast. What’s great is that they experiment with ingredients for different flavours. The Thalipeeth batter is made with kala mirch instead of the regular chili powder for a different kind of spice kick! Additionally, they offer different types of thalipeeths such as bhajani thalipeeth, sabudana thalipeeth, and besan thalipeeth; all with slight variations in the batter. The service is comparatively slow, be prepared for a 10 minute wait even on weekdays. However, the courteous staff makes up for it.
