I am very much impressed with Matruchhaya which is situated in Ravet. The ambience will give you the feeling of a proper seafood area. I liked the paintings on the wall. The service was very fast. The chef there has a wonderful experience in cooking.
Coming to the food,
Fully Loaded Omlette: The taste was yummy. It was kind of bread and omlette but having a unique presentation. It was topped with cheese. The amount of mayonnaise was a bit higher due to which the taste of the egg got disappeared. But overall you will enjoy it.
Prawns Koliwada: It was coated with Rava (Sooji). It was well cooked. The taste was amazing. Served with fresh salad.
Chicken Sukha: It was very joyful to watch. Well cooked and excellent in taste. Chicken pieces were very tender and juicy. The masala they prepared for this dish was different than others.
Surmai Thali: It consisted of two chapatis, fish curry, surmai fish fry (one piece), tiny prawns bhaji, salad, solkadhi. Surmai was coated with Rava and it was very fresh.
Pomfret Thali: It consisted of 2 chapatis, fish curry, pomfret fry (one piece), tiny prawns bhaji, salad, solkadhi. Here also pomfret was coated with Rava.
Chicken and Vade: It consisted of Vade, chicken sukha, chicken curry, one boiled egg, salad, solkadhi. They generally prepare Vade instantly. The Vade was very fresh.
Tisayra Masala: I never ever tried clam. For the first time I tried and it was having a different taste than the fish masala. But those who like clam then they will definitely love this.
Prawns Biryani: Quantity of prawns in biryani was really good. It was not a typical prawn biryani but yes it was not that bad.
Solkadhi: It was a pleasure for me to drink solkadhi. After food, this was the best drink. They prepared it on their own. The drink was very refreshing.
I would definitely suggest others to try the seafood here. The best part is that they bring the fishes directly from Mumbai. That is the reason why the fish remain fresh.
