Started in 2014 in Pune, as an extension to the Bangalore-based collaborative, MIST by Shyam Konnur is an LGBTQ+ collective with a vision to make India a more inclusive society. MIST organises one-of-a-kind meetups, parties and readings that are open to everyone irrespective of their sexual orientation. From artists to entrepreneurs, theatre actors, designers and more, MIST is the place if you’re looking to engage in all things art and culture. Apart from organising these meetups, MIST also undertakes various initiatives such as QTAM (Queer Talks and Meets), QAAF (Queer Allies and Arts Festival), and PIQFF (Pune International Queer Film Festival). Each initiative is designed to help participants find belonging and acceptance, free of judgment or conditions.
