What Makes It Awesome

After shutting down Pema's Kitchen, a small Tibetan joint in Kalyani Nagar, the owner Pema Dolma decided to start a home kitchen by the name Emah in 2020. Set up in Viman Nagar, this portal now delivers authentic food from Tibet across Pune.

With recipes and culinary secrets having been a part of Dolma's family for ages, she's put them to good use, serving delicious Thukpa (a hot noodle soup with loads of veggies and meats), Shapta (meat sauteed with veggies), Shabhale (an empanada like pastry with stuffed meat and veggies), momos (steamed dumplings), phing (a dish made with soy bean thread noodles), thueru (cheesy gravy served with bread), and many more delicacies. The menu is not very exhaustive but everything looks very tempting. They also have Thukpa mothuk (momos dipped in broth), and thentuk (hand-pulled noodle soup).

You can choose between vegetarian, chicken, mutton, and pork momos which is their specialty. In mains, popular options include stuffed Tingmo, Shabhale, Shapta, pork ribs, pork bamboo shoot, paksha khatsa (fried chicken breast), Naga pork, and many more. If you order a dish from each section, you have to shell out approximately INR 1200. Everything is made freshly with authentic ingredients and neatly packed. You can pre-order these by simply calling Emah or sending a DM on Instagram.
