Their Art Silk Paithanis are made from are made from a poly-blend that mimics silk, and so are more affordable while staying on-trend. Their specialty is bridal wear (Peshwai next door for menswear makes them the perfect pair of wedding specialists), but we think you don’t have to have a ring on your finger to treat yourself to a gorgeous saree. They’re said to be the only saree shop in Pune that allows you to customise your Paithani; you can actually pick the design and colour – at a higher cost, of course

Touch of Class Paithani Sarees

Award-winning Touch of Class has been featured several times in magazines, and even on TLC. Though they are younger {est. in 2006} than most of the saree shops we’ve featured here, their vision remains the same: a dedication to promotion of traditional crafts and textiles of India. They also sell beautiful Paithani border pieces, dress material, lehenga material, and exclusive vintage collectible art, in addition to sarees. Their website is very informative, and features a lot of information on the culture and meaning behind Paithani styles and motifs.
