Listed in Guinness Book of Records for a grain of rice which has 5,000 characters inscribed on it, these caves on JM Road date back to the 8th century, precisely the Rashtrakuta period. Boasting of ornate carvings, this architectural beauty, dedicated to the god of underwater world and Lord Shiva, is perhaps one of the oldest in the city that still stands strong.
