Inspired by the Italian town of Portofino, Lavasa is just a short and scenic drive from Pune. Surrounded by the magnificent Sahyadri mountain range, the hill station makes for a perfect escape from the concrete jungle. It is a privately planned hill city and has a lot to offer, from picturesque scenery to water sports.

Although often referred to as a 'ghost town' due to its unfinished construction and lack of population, it remains a popular retreat for travellers looking for a peaceful break from city life. To help you make the most of your visit, we’ve rounded up the best places to see, food to try, and comfortable places to stay.
