Constructed in 1942 by Chhatrapati Shri Appasaheb Maharaj, it was created to serve the water needs of the citizens of the city of Mahabaleshwar. A renowned activity around the Venna lake is that of boating. Open post 4pm, a row boat is offered at INR 500 for an hour, with a maximum capacity of 7 people.
