The best way to reach is to take a VRL bus from Pune to Dharwad, costs about INR 1,000 per person. Then take a taxi from Dharwad bus stop to Dandeli. The cab ride takes about an hour and a half!

What Is So Awesome About It?

Situated in the Western Ghats region, Dandeli with its magnificent scenic beauty, water sports, treks, jungle safari and homestays, is the ideal vacation spot to unwind with close buds or your significant other!

The water sports at Dandeli is a major tourist attraction, especially the 10-km white water rafting at river Kali. The raft guides are well-trained and the activity is quite safe. Kali is a fast-flowing river, so make sure you hold on to your boat tight, when it hurtles down the rapids named Adi’s Beard, The Stitch, Smuggler’s Trove and the Stanley’s Squeeze.

Zorbing at Dandeli is a must! It’s a recreational sport that includes rolling downhill on a gentle slope inside an orb, made of transparent plastic. If you’re claustrophobic, think twice before you try this one!

Always wanted to try kayaking? Head to Dandeli and then tick it off from your bucket list. The activity is conducted in the man-made Supa reservoir, sprawling over a huge area, making it seem like a sea. There are beautiful islands that are open for private camping. Get your tents and experience living on an island, sans connectivity, surrounded by cool blue waters. Isn’t that the dream?

There is a natural Jacuzzi at Dandeli, formed by the rapids of river Kali. The water, streaming out of mountains and rock beds, is soothing and rejuvenates you almost instantly.

After all these water sports, end your day with a jungle safari at Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary in an open jeep! The deciduous forest with meandering streams is home to many exotic flora and fauna including the bonnet macaque, barking deer, krait, viper, Malabar pied hornbill and emerald dove.

Anything Else?

If you’re staying at Dandeli, we highly recommend you book either a homestay or a campsite. The Kadu Mane homestay at Joida Taluk surrounded by dense vegetation is perfect for those who’s looking for absolute quiet and peace.
