What happens when the French stewed vegetable dish, ratatouille, gets a quirky Marathi twist? Enter ratatouille bhaji maska focaccia at Farzi Cafe. We love how the dish is presented – while the four pieces of soft focaccia bread sits inside the trunk of a miniature truck, the bhaji or the desi ratatouille comes in an unique bowl.
The pav bhaji is cooked in ratatouille style. So expect, an abundance of veggies, from layers of zucchini to bell peppers, tomato, potato and more. While you get a taste of bechamel sauce, however the flavours from Indian curry, spices and bhujia beautifully blends in with the French recipe. This combination definitely gets our thumbs up!
So, We're Saying...
We are in love with this French-Puneri version of pav bhaji, and we think you must try it out the next time you’re at Farzi.
