You're wrong if you though that the Peths were only a mecca for Indian wear, mostly sarees, gold, and other home and lifestyle essentials. Meander along the by lanes and you'll find several stores selling western and other casual wear. We stumbled upon Savaji Collection in Budhwar Peth, which stocks up on different brands and designs for both men and women.
The store is tiny but has a massive collection of denims, shirts, t-shirts, dresses and much more. The store mostly gets export rejects of famous brands that they polish up. You can find clothes for every body type and any occasion here. You'll mostly find casual wear but for men, there are a few shirts that you could pass off as formal and semi-formal wear too.
For men, their collection of solid coloured collar shirts are great starting at INR 350. They also have many kurtas and graphic t-shirts on display. And, you'll find shirts in various prints too, right from floral to the more simple ones: stripes, polka dots, checks and more. For women, you can find denims and skirts starting at INR 500 only. Pair them up with some cool tops and tunics and you are ready for a party. There are several graphic tees, tops in jersey materials that pose as perfect semi formal wear for a college party. Most come with sequinned or thread work or have different cuts as detailing. There are also a few kurtas that you can pick up that you could wear over a pair of jeans for an Indian-casual look for college.
