What Is It?

One of our favourite quirky lifestyle shops in Pune – Sanskriti Lifestyle – will be hosting their 12th annual “Diwali Late Night Bazaar” from Friday 6th until Sunday 8th October 2017.

Why Should I Go?

Whether you’re a confirmed shopaholic, or just enjoy browsing – the vibe here is fun and festive, and it’s a leisurely way to spend your evening. Their beautifully landscaped outdoor garden comes alive with traditional ‘akash kandil’, bright colours, and twinkly lights. In addition to Sanskriti’s own collection of gorgeous furniture and accessories, there are also a few hand-picked vendors with interesting goods of their own, for sale. There’s a wide variety of products to choose from: jewellery, beautiful sarees and dupattas, children’s clothes, footwear, pottery, lamps, bags, home furnishings, and much more. There will also be a couple of food stalls, to keep you replenished all day long.

Anything Else?

Curated by Shalaka Pingale, she tells us that they’ve grown in number and size since the first edition, and that they like to keep it different, changing the lineup of vendors each year. They’ve even hosted various workshops {like calligraphy and handloom} and book readings previously at the festival, but unfortunately not this time. Some of this year’s vendors are Nupur Chaudhuri Footwear {more on that here}, Bow & Bangle {festive wear for kids}, Sahasra {traditional clothing}, Bakeroma {festive confectionery}, and Beautiful Minds {products made by the differently-abled}, to name a few. There’s always something new to discover or try, so come check it out!

Follow their events page for more update.

Sanskriti has their own card machine, but a some of the vendors usually don’t, so carry enough cash with you, or be sure to hit the ATM nearby.
