Traffic Update: Roads To Avoid In Pune Right Now
Nagar Road
It is advisable to avoid the entire stretch of Pune-Ahmednagar Road, starting from Yerawada to Chandannagar. The highway is on high-alert post th Bhima-Koregaon clashes and public transport, including cabs, have ceased to operate on the road, as of now.
Pimpri-Chinchwad
The violence at Koregaon Bhima had its major effects on Pimpri area as well. According to latest news, eight buses and some private vehicles were damaged, shops remain closed and incidents of stone pelting were reported.
Bhau Patil Road - Khadki - Aundh
This particular stretch near Pune IT Park at Bopodi is perhaps one of the most sensitive areas of Pune, which caused shop owners to shut down their establishment yesterday and today. Police officials deployed in the area have been diverting traffic since morning to avoid further clashes.
Viman Nagar
Small fallouts and protests have been reported from the area surrounding Viman Nagar and Kharadi. Traffic, too, seems to be moving extremely slow out here. We highly advise to avoid this stretch today.
