This App Prevents Food Wastage & Gives You A Cashback Everytime You Clear Your Plate!

Finally, we have something that will curb the increasing levels of food wastage in the city. Developed by Samvad Social Technologies in Pune, Food Dosti is a one-of-a-kind app that helps prevent wastage of food.

How does this work? NGOs can place a request for food through the app, which will then connect them to restaurants that may have surplus food for that day. This way, nothing gets wasted and people in need get their bit of the daily meals.

While NGOs like the International Leprosy Union and Sparsh Balgram have tied up with Food Dosti, city-based restaurants such as Tea Trails, Salt Water, Villa Casa and Cafe Darca have come on board with this noble concept.

How does it work for you & I? Download the app. Go for a meal at any of the restaurants that are tied up with the app, and finish all the food to get cash back. Besides, you can also earn Food Dosti points! Each point is equivalent to INR 1.

You can also order half a portion of a certain meal, pay for full, but get points on your app for the other half. Visit the restaurant again to redeem your Food Dosti points.
