Biryani By Kilo: The word 'biryani' is derived from a Persian word, birian, which means fried before cooking. It is one of the most popular dishes, which has acquired a niche for itself in South Asian Cuisine. I felt love is in the air, when I got a whiff of appetising Indian Biryani. Ain't no love like the love of a biryani. There are lot of restaurants and cloud kitchens who serves awesome biryani. Biryani By Kilo is one of them.
What I like is :-
They said that they made your biryani after you placed the order so that you can get the freshly made biryani. Talking about their presentation then it is just Awesome. They delivered the biryani in a clay pot with an extra chamber and candles which helps your biryani to keep warm till your last bite. Really an awesome idea. They called it as The Aanch, a sure shot attention grabber at every gathering. There Aanch provides those extra 8-10 minutes of dum to biryani. It helps to give the perfect smoky flavour and aroma of spices.
The thing about BBK is they serve in Kilos as per their name. The prices starts from ₹325 for veg and ₹445 for non veg biryanis. They also serves Kebabs, kormas, curries, breads, beverages and desserts (phirni and gulab jamun with rabdi).
I tried their Paneer Biryani with raita. Yeah it took almost 1.5 hrs to get the order as they made it fresh. So better you ordered a but early. The packaging was awesome. Once I opened the biryani pot mmmm mild Aroma was giving a satisfaction of them waiting for so long time. The layers were presented well. Just don't forget to mix it well. Yeah the paneer was fresh and perfectly blended with spices and tastes Delicious.
What I don't like is :-
I was expecting a scrumptious taste from it but it ended at the delicious. The biryani masala was less as compared to rice hence was unable to get that perfect balanced taste of masala and rice. The Salan they gave with it was too sour. Talking about raita then it was good, the curd was fresh. They have their own version of raita which consists curd with Jeera powder n some spices. Quantity was enough for 1 person if he have a heavy diet, else 2 people can eat it. Considering all taxes and including delivery charges it comes around 400₹ which seems a little bit cost as compared to other biryani options we have.
I'd love to try their Chicken biryanis and desserts soon.
