What Makes It Awesome?

Located on Baner Road, Malgudi Station takes you down the memory lane with its quirky Malgudi Days posters.

As soon as you enter, the aroma of freshly made filter coffee will awaken your senses. The vibes of the place are warm and welcoming. We sat towards the end of the restaurant which had a backyard feel to it.

We started our breakfast with our most favourite – filter coffee. It was frothy, strong, and just soul satisfying. The coffee is sourced from Chikmagaluru, and it’s good to the last drop.

Next came the medu vadas, which were crispy and delicious. We also ordered the Malgudi idlis, which are a speciality here. They steam the idlis in cupcake-like moulds, and they were soft and fluffy as a pillow.

Next up were the dosas. The masala dosa had a nice presentation, and with the right amount of masala, the dosa was yum.

The sada crisp dosa was an attention grabber since it came as a topi dosa and was perfectly crispy.

A special mention for the chutneys and sambhar, for it, was finger licking good. Oh, and they have desserts too, and they change the offering every day.

And just about when we were done, we had the last round of filter coffee. 🙂

All in all, it was a good experience. The place has authentic South Indian food and amazing filter coffee, what more do you need?
