This Store In Market Yard Sells Dry Fruits In Maggi, Panipuri & Paneer Tikka Flavours

Tucked amidst the hustle bustle of Market Yard in Duncan Road, Vasudev Dryfruits is definitely not your regular gourmet store. Run by Sarvesh Agrawal, this is perhaps the only place in Pune that sells dry fruits in the wackiest flavours imaginable – lychee, chilli guava, mint and much more.

Established in the year 1976, Vasudev Dryfruits is a haven for dry fruits, chocolates, syrups, honey, squashes and jams. We were quite astonished to find our favourite dry fruits {almonds, cashews and pistachios} generously coated in masalas that taste like paneer tikka, Maggi, barbecue, peri peri, mint, cheese, blueberry, coffee, bhajia, even pizza and panipuri.

While the smaller nuts are priced at INR 1,200/kg, the slightly bigger ones start at INR 1,500/kg. We also found fox and Brazilian nuts in mixed Indian spices and sour cream & onion flavours. Can you imagine?

Besides dry fruits, the store also boasts of an assortment of honey flavours; from orange to ajwain, choco-mint, cinnamon and eucalyptus, starting at INR 250. Then, there’s the lip-smacking range of squashes and syrups – a perfect {and healthier } substitute for soda during summers. Starting at INR 170, get these in kesar thandai, Irish coffee, butterscotch falooda, lemon pudina, mojito, white rose and vanilla flavours. If you’re on a diet, we recommend you check the sugar-free options instead.

Don’t leave the place without trying their ‘stone chocolates’, which are basically stone-shaped, multi-colour gems filled with melt-in-mouth dark chocolate. And if it’s still not enough, their freshly baked mini brownies will definitely give you the sweet fix you have been craving for.
