Shortcut

We’re constantly struggling to manage our time. So, Pavillion Mall is the ideal one-stop shop to shop for all the weddings on our social calendar. The latest lehenga, accessories, makeup and even salon services to be ready in time for the ceremonies, everything is available at the mall. We stopped by and here is what we think you should be spending your money on!

Meena Bazaar

Traditional banarasi sarees, chiffon, silk, georgette, organza – Meena Bazaar has many options to choose from. We had our heart set on the pink and peach khadi banarasi saree (INR 13,000), with its gold khadi work, it would be apt for a day wedding. The pista green-colour embroidered lacha lehenga with a (INR 21,000) is what we’d buy to ditch the hassle of saree pleats. But mostly because, green is the go-to colour this season.

Pantaloons

Would you really spend big on every event of the wedding? If you have a tight budget, shopping for simple ethnic wear at Pantaloons is not a bad idea. We liked the simple ethnic palazzos with printed designs in gold by Rangmanch (INR 999), which would be ideal for the mehendi. The brocade ethnic crop tops by Akriti (INR 899) would complement the foil-printed gehra skirts (INR 1,799) giving you the right look for a sangeet. There are also minimalist kurtas and churidars and a range of accessories that will suit an everyday wardrobe.

Vajor

Make a statement with tassels! Why should only the bride have all the fun? Vajor’s earrings are unique and their latest collection is full of colourful tassels! So many in fact, that you’re bound to find something to go with your outfit. The whole tassel collection comes in different colours, shapes and designs. We loved the bold and beyond earrings (INR 499) with blue tassels and bead work and maroon tribal earrings (INR 399), which would complement a simple saree perfectly.

Mochi

Ditch the heels for some juttis. How else are you planning to keep your feet moving throughout the wedding? Mochi’s ethnic collection maybe limited, but we struck gold! The antic gold mojaris (INR 2490) would its neutral colours would work well on any outfit. But, we love comfort, so we’d definitely pick the ethnic slip ons (INR 1990) in gold. For men too, there re mojaris and kolhapuris to choose from. The leather mojaris (INR 2990) with a simple design in silver is our favourite.

Heatwave

To rock the cocktail party, Heatwave is like heel heaven. You can find pumps, wedges or even flats if you’re all about comfort fashion. Their newest collection includes grace pumps (INR 4999), which are simple and yet have all the shimmer we need.

Kiko

If you’re buying makeup, rather wear the latest shades only, no? This season metallic is the way to go. Kiko’s limited edition Dark Treasure collection has a range of products that have diamond dust and charcoal powder, which gives a shine while ensuring skin doesn’t get damaged. We’ve stocked up on rosy champagne air metallic eye-shadow (INR 1,500) and a few different metallic nail lacquers too (INR 550).

Looks Salon

There’s even a salon inside the mall! Looks Salon offers a complete styling and makeup look. There’s some time before the wedding season officially kicks in, perhaps de-tanning or a hair treatment is a good idea. What we love about the salon is that it also offers Occasional Makeup which is designed for events like engagement, mehendi, roka and such and is priced at INR 7500. Bridal makeup (airbrush) is priced at INR 12500 and there’s Party Makeup, which is for INR 4500.
