A rustic forest retreat, sprawling over four acres of land, Hidden Village on Mumbai-Nashik highway, with its charming springs, dark woods and cottage stays, will get you detoxed in the best possible way.

    What Makes It Awesome?

A four-hour drive from Pune via Bangalore-Mumbai Highway and NH160 will lead you to Hidden Village at Atgaon. It has a very archetypal presentation that immediately grows on you. The property is well-maintained by owner Tony D’Souza and has everything from a wooden bridge to a natural spring, a pristine lake and abundance of undisturbed flora and fauna.

Borderlined by back hills in the distance, the place offers various kinds of accommodations. The Cabin House, for example, is situated at the far upper end of the resort and is made of wood. The Forest House, in the middle of the property, is surrounded by tall thick trees and has a tent-like touch to it. The Exotic and the Cupid houses are designed particularly for couples and have a king-size bed, access to a large pool and private sit-out area. Other kinds of accommodation include. Patil house, crest house, venus house, fern and camp houses.

Priced at INR 4,200 for two (for a hill house) and INR 5,488 (for a forest house), all the rooms are equipped with television, air conditioner, fridge, extra mattresses, toiletries and more. Your stay will be inclusive of veg & non-veg meals for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. The menu is fixed. Expect to jump-start your day with misal pav, bread, butter and jam, egg bhurji and tea. Lunch and dinner include vegetable curries, dal, rice, rotis, chaas, pickle and papad. You can also request for authentic Maharashtrian chicken/mutton sukkha, gouti chicken, kanda bhaji and grilled fish for an additional cost.

If you don’t wish to stay for the night, you can visit the place during the day, between 10.00 AM and 6.00 PM. Priced at INR 941 per head, your visit will include a lavish breakfast, lunch and snack. You can also access the natural springs and the lakes, go for a short trek in the back hills and enjoy an organic fish pedicure in the water bodies. The property is closed for day visitors on Saturdays.
