Yeti, The Himalayan Kitchen, is a hidden gem in Pune's culinary landscape, offering an authentic taste of the Himalayas in a cosy and welcoming setting. Whether you're an adventurous epicurean or simply looking to try something new and flavourful, check out Yeti - The Himalayan Kitchen for a journey of the mountains through its cuisine.
Even though it is located in a busy area, the restaurant has a calming vibe as soon as you enter. Decorated with Tibetan prayer flags and traditional artwork adorning the walls, the restaurant offers spacious indoor seating and open-air seating to enjoy the weather. The entire space is surrounded by lush greenery that resembles the mountain vibes to perfection. The warm and cosy interior makes for a perfect setting to enjoy a hearty Himalayan meal.
The highlight of Yeti-The Himalayan Kitchen is undoubtedly its tantalising menu, which features a wide array of dishes from the Pahadi region. Here, you can savour the authentic flavours and recipes that have been passed down through generations. The menu encompasses traditional Nepali, Tibetan, and Bhutanese dishes, with some North Indian influences. Whether you're a meat lover or a vegetarian, Yeti has something to cater to every palate. If you like momo, you'll be spoilt for choices here. The menu offers over 15 different types of steamed and fried momo in chicken, mutton, buff, and pork. Our favourite is the Jhol Momos served with soya bean paste curry. For the main course, try the Mixed Veg Datchi, a Bhutanese speciality. The delicious curry comes with Tingmo, a soft, steamed bread eaten in Tibet. End the meal on a sweet note with Yomari, a delicacy from Nepal! The sweet rice flower dumplings are filled with jaggery and sesame seeds.
