What Makes It Awesome?

Babylon, A name that carries the epic history of what's believed to be the second oldest alcoholic beverage known after mead, Beer. Beer production flourished in the Babylonian empire of ancient Egypt and we couldn't have been happier that it did!

What's more amazing is that we've got our Babylon right here in Pune and trust me, they do justice to the name! It's the largest brewery in Maharashtra and the second-largest in India.

Here's what we tried -

Beers:

Belgian Wit - This un-filtered, pale ale is cloudy in colour because of high levels of wheat along with oats and malted barley. It feels kinda creamy and has fascinating notes of tart! My personal favourite!

Hefeweizen - Originated in Germany, it's a pale wheat beer. The suspended yeast gives hefeweizen a cloudy appearance, its most notable characteristic. It's pretty heavy and crisp, also my second favourite after Belgian Wit.

Apple Cider - This golden coloured beauty is one of the best Ciders I've ever had, why you ask? Because it's not that sweet! And I prefer it that way. It's slightly sweet, a bit citrusy and sharp.

IPA - Bitter! But good! So IPA is moderately strong, medium-bodied and has bitter after-taste but it's well balanced, like you won't feel like you're having something way too bitter!

Oatmeal Stout - It was a dark and full-bodied beer with lovely notes of coffee. Pair it with some chocolate and you're set!

They've also introduced variety like Puneri Lager made with Indrayani rice! Must try for sure

Food:

Shetty's House Party: A big platter to accompany your big pitcher full of your favourite beer! It had a lot of things including prawns cigars, kheema pockets, sausage, Manchurian chicken, potato chips, fries and Chaat!

Chutney Peanuts: Best. Chakna. Ever. I don't think I've ever had chakna that I liked this much! It was spicy had that peanut crunch and is just perfect to go with any kind of beer or cocktail!

Double Anda Frankie: A soothing and comforting Frankie you can bite on while having a pint of Belgian Wit, these two kinda go well together! It was mild but the sauces were very well balanced and not overpowering the Frankie! Served with a handful of potato chips!

Birmingham Tikka Masala Pockets (paneer): Again a not so spicy and tacky comfort food options you can choose from the menu. Paneer Tikka masala filled in pita bread along with lettuce, onions to add a crunch and green mint chutney to add more flavour to it!

Kadhai Paneer Tiffin: Because a tiffin is all about nostalgia! This tiffin had medium spicy kadhai paneer, Daal makhani with its smooth fall in love kind of taste and texture, our soothing homely Indrayani rice and think delicious parathas dipped in pure ghee! It came with papad and salad. I say, Don't mind the calories, just go for it. It's worth it!

Desserts:

Chocolate Chimichanga - Chocolate is one thing that everyone from kids to adults enjoys, and this innovative dessert is just there to prove it to you! Pockets filled with dark chocolate concoction with the side of spicy pineapple salsa and berry sauce. This combo of spicy salsa and dark chocolate is very surprisingly delicious!

Peanut butter and rum cannelloni - I can have this dessert every day, I'm not even kidding! I do love chocolates a lot but sometimes you just need a different flavor other than chocolate. Something mild and semi-sweet. Crunchy cannelloni with smooth whipped peanut butter is without a doubt one of my all-time favourite desserts now!

Ambience And Service -

Babylon craft brewery is situated on the 6th floor of House Of Nosh, Mehendale Garage road. It's a spacious place with "just 'beer' your worries away" kind of feel. The moment you step in, you're greeted by huge containers of the brewery and a heck load of bulbs on the ceiling, which by the way, look amazing! Along with beer, they also have other options you can choose from the bar handled by a talented bartender with his amazing bottle skills! They've got great music playing to set the mood. And Don't miss the beer quotes framed on the wall, you'll be entertained for sure! Overall it's a great place to hang out with your friends over a beer pitcher and lots of fun!

The place is clean and you can be sure that whatever you've been served has been prepared in a clean and hygienic environment. The staff is well trained and professional. They're also very prompt and attentive!
