So, we became that person, and we're shining the spotlight on AD Singh, Founder and Managing Director, Olive Group of restaurants. Apart from being the force behind some of the nicest restaurants in the country (looking at you, Olive Bar & Kitchen), you can spot him enjoying a game of padel, travelling and being a doting father. So, we asked what things he keeps wanting more of and here's what he shared.

"I read a lot and am so happy that both my kids have also developed this habit. My current favourite is the Japanese series Before the Coffee Gets Cold. A charming story, originally adapted from a play, about a small café which gives people an opportunity to travel into the past and makes one think about the universal themes of love and loss. Toshikazu Kawaguchi has created something truly magical."
Golfing At Qutab Golf Course
"Golf is my favourite sport! I grew up following my Dad around on the golf course and in the process, a deep passion for the game grew in me. Sadly, over the years, I've not been able to play much as it takes too much time. In Delhi, the Qutab Golf Course is a very good public course open to all. It also has a good driving range and coaches to help you learn how to play. The Asiad Village Sports Complex has a lovely, very short 9-hole pitch and play course for all — great for beginners."
Billie Holliday
"Growing up, Jazz was my parents' music and not mine, but when I opened my first restaurant, Just Desserts, I needed something to create its identity and help it connect to the audience I wanted. For that, we only played jazz and that's when it slowly became my favourite genre of music! My favourite Jazz and Blues artist for a long time was Billie Holliday who moved me like no one else."

"My favourite new cocktail is what I've just developed around my favourite ingredients. I call it the 'AD Affogato' and it combines coffee, ice cream and whisky — with caramel popcorn floating in it and a bacon rasher served alongside."
Padel
"I've always played a lot of racket sports and currently am really enjoying Padel. The game's beauty is that it's fairly easy to pick up and so is something you can easily enjoy with close friends and family. You can use the HUDLE app to help you locate and book Padel courts in Bombay and Delhi. Most courts will have a marker you can learn from and practice with."
