Aish is the signature designer restaurant of The Park Hotels. It welcomes you with a garland of pearls into a royal ambience. A silver door and a wooden treasure chest lend it old world charm, made even better with a monochromatic theme and opulent interiors done by renowned designer Tarun Tahiliani. Think sepia images and flattering lighting show, it a fusion of contemporary times with the Nizam’s era. Spacious and uncrowded, the restaurant has a sparkling vibe with silverware on every table. Yes, you get served in pure silver cutlery here. Talk about grand service! From comfortable chairs and beautifully set tables in the common area to entire rooms for a private dining affair, this place is for a special celebration. The waiters too are dressed in traditional attire and friendly. Do ask them for recommendations based on your taste and they will gladly assist you.
Priding in Hyderabadi and Andhra cuisine, Aish has an interesting menu. We began with a refreshment of Chai Shereen, which is Iced Jasmine tea infused with mint and honey. We followed it up with Makai, Badam Aur Akhrot Ki Tikki and thoroughly enjoyed the corn, almond and walnut risolles which were crisp on the outside, and soft on the inside. Hyderabadi food is pretty much incomplete without haleem and biryani, so of course – we had to have those. The haleem here is presented beautifully and each ingredient (cashews, lemons, mint, and caramelised onions) is so tastefully placed on the platter. The biryani too was spot on, and to our surprise – not too spicy. Served in good quantity to fit a single person, we’d come back for it.
