Check Out These Iconic Sweet Shops In Hyderabad For Diwali
Hameedi Confectioners & Co.
Pulla Reddy Sweets
Pulla Reddy Sweets has been synonymous with Hyderabad for decades, and has been the go-to place for traditional ghee-based sweets. It started off as a small cart selling barfi in Kurnool in 1948 to now having several branches, even in the USA. When you're here, be sure to pick up their Milk Mysore Pak, Son Patti, Kaaju Paakam, and all varieties of Khova.
Tewari Brothers Mithaiwala
Whether you are looking for sweets or namkeen like pakora, dhokla, samosa, Tewari Brothers is where you must go. Located in Khairatabad, this sweet shop is popular for its kajur barfi. On Sundays, they also have specials like club kachori, jalebi, and you'll find people queuing up for them.
Almond House
This 30+ year old store that makes the most decadent sweets and ice-cream. We love their almond bisticks, pista barfi, till chikki, ras malai and ofcouse, the kaju katli. You could also gorge on some amazing ice cream (which also has vegan options) or stuff your face with the Chaat from Gappe Vappe when you visit. We recommend the Pani Puri and Pav Bhaji fondue here.
Delhi Mithaiwala
Dadu's
Festivities in Hyderabad aren't complete without sweets from Dadu's. Their pretty corporate sweet boxes and gift packs are some of the most loved in Hyderabad. If you're planning to order more than 50 boxes, we recommend placing an order in advance (you might score a discount too). Their motichoor ladoos and samosas (with the sweet chutney) are to die for.
Emerald Mithai Shop
Emerald Mithai Shop is known for their high quality organic dairy products including A2 ghee among several other bestsellers. Aside from authentic Telugu sweets, you could also pick up some Bengali favourites including sandesh, rasgulla, and raj bhog along with some savoury snacks. While they have a couple of branches across Hyderabad, we recommend their OG store at Lower Tank Bund.
Olive Mithai Shop
Olive Mithai Shop is one of the best sweet shops around the Kukatpally—BHEL neighbourhoods offering super high quality pure ghee sweets, namkeen and chaat too. Don't miss trying their motichoor laddoo when you visit. They also have aesthetically packaged gift boxes ideal for gifting on special occasions.
Jaggu Mithai
This 100+ year old spot near the Mahankali temple in Secunderabad is primarily known for its amazing chaat. They also serve freshly made sweets including Rabri-Ghevar, Malai Kalakand and several other melt-in-your-mouth varieties. Visit this iconic spot to gorge on the chaat and take home some sweets.
Meethe Miya
From Sheer Korma to Qubani ka Meetha, this spot serves iconic desserts local to Hyderabad. Their Double ka Meetha and Lauki ki Kheer are must-trys too. You can pick up sweets here in single serve jars, ideal for gifting as well.
