Despite being in the heart of meat-loving Telangana, Hyderabad was named the friendliest city in India for vegans by PETA. If you're vegan looking to go chill at a great spot or a hardcore meat eater looking to discover vegan food, these are the best vegan restaurants in Hyderabad you should check out.

Terrasen Cafe

Hyderabad's first vegan café, Terrasen is arguably one of the most favourite haunts for vegans in Hyderabad. The vibe is super laid back; the pet-friendly space serves delicious dishes like comforting Pumpkin Soup, Phoebe & Joey sandwich and Smoked Tofu Pizza topped with generous amounts of cashew nut cheese. Their desi dishes like aloo parathas are also a must-try. Take your pet and head here for an evening of delicious food and chill vibes.

Fab Cafe

While Fab Cafe in Banjara Hills isn't exactly an out and out vegan cafe, they do serve organic dishes with plenty of vegan options. We recommend you start your meal here with Shakarkandi Chaat Salad (roasted sweet potatoes), Tofu in a Baked Rumali Tokri (tofu is topped on rumali roti in canapé style and served with tangy pudina chutney), Veggie Chips with Cashew Chips.

Sage Farm Cafe

Sage Farm Cafe is tucked inside a cutesy villa in Jubilee Hills. Go here to indulge in Jowar Oats Upma (who knew oats upma could be this delicious), dairy free vegan desserts like fig and date, chocolate, and coconut. You can customise most of their mains to get a vegan option. You've got to try the Feta & Spice pizza when you visit! They also organise innovative Chef's Tables regularly, so keep a look out on their socials to attend.

E'woke Café

We love visiting E'woke Café at Sainikpuri both for their food and super aesthetic interiors with the cutest wall murals, perfect for photo-ops. They also have a full-fledged marketplace selling groceries, food and beverages from homegrown and international brands. We also found a range of Korean Ramyeon packs here. Their pesto and tofu based dishes are a hit and you can't come out without trying the Zucchini Brownie!

Weekend Café

We love the homely vibes at Weekend Café in Secunderabad. Head here if you'd like to chill by yourself to work or catch up on some reading. The shawarmas and berry smoothies are quite well-rated. The rooftop spot has a lot of shrubbery, so sit back and gorge on some great food at The Weekend Café!

Simi's World Vegan Café

This women-owned café serves awesome whole food based dishes, so everything you see on your plate is made in-house including the breads and nut based cheeses. Try the burgers and pastas here aside from the Mediterranean food here, which is an absolute hit with patrons. The outlet has limited seating space; you could also order in if you're around Ayyappa Society.

Yello Life Experience Centre

While this new farm to fork spot in Jubilee Hills isn't fully vegan, they have a wide variety of vegan options to choose from their menu; you can also ask for customisations on their regular dishes. They have amazing burritos made with super colourful ingredients here, and the Chocolate Jaggery Cake here made with 70% dark chocolate is a must-try. You can also check out their micro bakery to get your hands on small-batch freshly baked breads, also don't miss trying some kombuchas from the menu!
