Dadu's, Gachibowli, hands down, the best Vegetarian restaurant we've been to in Hyderabad. The ambiance is really vibrant and welcoming. They are famous for their variety of sweets. Along with that, there in house restaurant, Masala Republic, had our heart.
Starters and Main Course:
1. CHUR CHUR NAAN with a side of chane chole, was exquisite. The naan was so crispy from the outside and soft from the inside, just perfect.
2. PAANI PURI SLIDERS. Let me tell you, the presentation was so cute. They had 10 gol gappe on shot glasses, which had different flavoured paani, some sweet and some sour. This was quite new for us, but at the same time, a great starter.
3. CHOLE BHATURE was also nice. Bhature, especially, was not at all heavy, and that was the best thing about it. As usual, it came with chane chole, some spicy tomato chutney and onions.
4. KATTAPPA KATORI was a different version of Raj kachori. The katori part of it was made with charcoal dough, giving it an interesting colour, and the filling had yogurt and sprouts. A perfect balance of sweet and savory.
5. DUMPLING and NOODLES was actually a great combo, with the dumplings served with two kinds of sauces: tamarind chilli sauce and schezwan sauce.
Desserts:
1. MOTICHUR KE LADDU, as we Indians like, "Ghee mein doobe hue".
2. THANDAI CHAM CHAM and SITAPHAL CHAM CHAM, so creamy.
3. GULAB-KHEER CAKE, the best dessert of the night. Beautiful presentation, and had a subtle "gulab" taste, not too heavy.
4. CHEESE KUNAFA, was the tweaked version of this Turkish delicacy. It had a mix of kalakand, cheese and topped with loads of desi ghee.
5. KAAJU KATLI and KAAJU KATORI, as usual, was a delight.
This was a great dinner date with our friends and a paradise for VEGETARIANS! The staff was very humble and jolly.
Whenever in Hyderabad, don't forget to visit Dadu's.
