So, finally, as I was done with my final exams. I decided to take a break from my hostel food. I and my friends planned to have lunch somewhere near our hostel side. Since we have 2 Zomato gold membership, we decide to reach a restaurant which is under gold. It was the Grand Trunk Road, we finally went into. This is not my first time being here. They have got a theme which is roadway based, the ambience is decorated with vehicle number plates. At the entrance, we will notice decorated a lorry front body.
They have got huge seating arrangement which can easily accommodate 50+ members. They have got unique seating, on the back body side of a lorry at one corner of the restaurant.
Coming to food:
Laal search tandoori aloo:- served as 6, it didn't taste that great. Only the outer part of the aloo was tasty. This should have served in small balls for better taste, rather than how they are preparing now.
Veg Biryani:- It was good, with all sorted veggies.
Desserts:- Jalebi te rabri
This was the best part of our lunch. We can visit GTR only for this dessert and it's completely worth going for simply for this jalebi
Once I ordered mini meals from here, costing around 150, which included roti, dal, paneer curry, jeera rice, dessert. Firstly I didn't like the jeera rice, paneer curry tasted completely tangy. Jamun was not soft, it was hard inside.
My Friends had some non-veg items from their menu. According to the non-veg was good than vegetarian.
