Durgam Cheruvu Park is well laid out, with steps to climb down until you reach the lakefront. Benches are scattered across the park if you want to rest and read a book. Plenty of squirrels accompany you on your walks, and chirping birds will make it more fun. You'll spot kids examining the park and painting under the shade of trees. The trees form thick canopies over your head, and they abound in natural rock formations, too. Plus, it's got a rocky (but squeaky clean) open auditorium sort of space where you can hang out with your squad. The background of this space has wall carvings that are painted vibrantly, and kids happily pose against them.
This is not all; once you've had a relaxing time at the park, you can head to grab some grub. There are many hotels and cafes around Durgan Cheruvu, some even overlooking the scenic lake. If you’re in for a laid-back party vibe, check out the Olive Bistro, which is all about fine lakeside Italian dining and Hoppery, where you can get yourself a pitcher and groove to music.
If a cafe has more of your vibe, Last House Coffee is your spot. It’s a pretty coffee shop that plays retro music, and the vibe is amazing. You can sit outdoors on the ground floor amidst greenery or sit on the rooftop and gaze at the Durgam Cheruvu and Inorbit Mall in the distance. It’s typical cafe food, and there’s nothing to complain about.
If you love letting your hair loose to house music, AKAN is the music spot near Durgam Cheruvu. It’s a fancy establishment that feels straight out of a movie set. Get your drinks going and platters of delicious food passing around, all with a banging DJ in the background.
