History Of Khajaguda Hills

Khajaguda Hills' rock formations are a stunning 2.4 billion years old. One of the oldest rocks in the world, this place was once known as Fakhruddin Gutta and it stands today as a prehistoric heritage site. Back in 1253 AD, Ala-ud-Din Bahman Shah, the founder of the Bahmani Kingdom was buried here. Not just that, there's an 800-year-old Annatha Padmanabha Swamy Temple here and a cave where Saint Meher Baba had meditated back in the day. 

How To Reach Khajaguda Hills & Trek Duration

Now, there are two ways you can reach Khajaguda Hills and start the trek. You can either drive down the ORR road to reach the bottom of the hill and start the climb from there [Google map shows the right location to Khajaguda Hills from this route] or reach the Khajaguda village and take the path uphill. It might take you three to four hours to finish the trek. So, carry ample water bottles and come prepared with the right trekking gear.
