Nasi goreng which literally means "fried rice" in both the Indonesian and Malay languages, is an Indonesian rice dish with pieces of meat and vegetables added. It can refer simply to fried pre-cooked rice. Nasi goreng is often described as Indonesia's twist on fried rice. And as with other fried rice recipes in Asia, it has been suggested that it can trace its origin from Southern Chinese fried rice. However, it is not clear when Indonesians began to adopt Chinese fried rice and create their own version. It is traditionally served at home for breakfast and it is traditionally made out of leftover rice from the night before.
I had this at Aura Café A Year ago. First, I loved the plating. Well, taste-wise it was just average for me, The rice was sticky and soft, maybe they cooked in a Stock that's why. The chicken was Juicy, It was satay, Served with A Peanut sauce and Banana Chips. Wasn't really impressed with the rice, The chicken and sauce were good. I had Better Nasi Goreng that this one.
