Terrai

The city has gotten itself a bold new dining star, and it’s a Neo Telangana Kitchen & Bar. Think of it as Telangana tradition dressed up for a modern night out – earth walls and ikat accents setting the mood while the menu hits you with fiery, familiar flavours turned playful. Pachi Pulusu shows up chilled, lamb ribs come kissed with local spice, and humble millets get their glow up in bhel and rotte. It’s food that feels like home, but with a flair that makes you want to snap a picture before your first bite. The drinks are just as cheeky. You’d be surprised to see gongura tequila or star anise gin highballs shaking up your usual drinks order.

LBB Tip: It's great idea to explore Telugu cuisine in Hyderabad. Here's a list of our top picks.

Asli

Asli is all about celebrating Indian regional flavours with a fresh, modern spin. The meny brings together dishes from across the country – so you’ll find South Indian staples like Vazhaipoo Vadai with North Indian gems like Khaima Undey meatballs, and even a smart twist on Hyderabadi comfort food with Kathal ki Haleem. It’s a mix that feels both familiar and exciting, especially if you like exploring different cuisines without feeling too heavy or even formal. The space itself is stylish, looking like a modern palace. And with playful drinks like the tangy Imli mocktail to round things up, it’s a sweet spot between heritage and the modern 21st century.

Qosa Kitchen & Bar

Go here if you’re planning for a night that is equal parts chill and stylish. Much like the location, Gandipet, the space leans modern with an easygoing vibe, the kind where you can dress up a little, grab cocktails and still LOL IRL with your besties without feeling out of place. The menu is also a total crowd pleaser – arancini bombs, spicy wings platter, hearty pizzas and pastas for your comfort fix, and even biryanis and Asian bowls when you’re craving something desi and indulgent. Bookmark this for “let’s go somewhere fun but also eat properly” kind of plans.

Gamyam Telugu Bar & Restaurant

Gamyam feels like you’ve walked into a cosy corner of Telugu tradition, but dialed in for nights out with friends. The interiors are warm and cosy, enough to make you feel classy with the intimidation. We’re thinking date night, FYI. The vibe is relaxed but lively, you can chat comfortably over good food and still fill the buzz of being somewhere new. On the menu, Gamyam is Telugu first. So you’ll spot regional staples like Mukka Jonna Garelu, Uluvacharu Veg Pulao, Karam Wings, and even a Double Ka Meetha. We spoke to the staff and their focus is clear – make Telugu food not just for nostalgia but for exciting night outs.

KOKO

If you are head over heels for Asian food, KOKO is the kind of place you walk into and immediately know you’re in for a good night. The entry itself, a dramatic red tunnel, feels like a teaser for what’s inside – moody lights, emerald and gold interiors, plush corners to sink into, and buzzing bar that pulls everyone together. It’s classy, for sure, but not stiff. The menu has the greatest hits of pan-Asian food, with flair. Dim sums that look pretty to eat, sushi rolls, lantern chicken, edamame black rice, and creamy curries that mend the soul on a chilly day. And then there are cocktails, which honestly are half the fun. Drinks like agave nest (served with a chocolate egg) or the fiery snakes whisper are made for both sipping and Instagramming.

LBB Tip: Love Sushi? Here are more Japanese restaurants in Hyderabad to check out.

Kyma

Speaking of Asian food, Kyma brings Asian plus Mediterranean fusion food to the tables – dim sums, sushi, mezze, and creative plates that are full of flavours. The sushi station even doubles as an art piece of sorts, and the bar pours cocktails that are as bold as the food. For dessert, we heart the Kunafa. The decor too mixes Mediterranean warmth with Asian minimalism and it’s dramatic and wow. All in all, Kyma is that spot you bring your friends to when you want a bit more than just food.

Trio Bistro

This new cafe in Hyderabad is effortlessly cool. You have the indoor seating that’s cosy but not cramped and outdoor nooks that feel perfect for chatting up over food under the sky. On the menu, Trio plays it safe in the “you’ll find something you’ll love” zone. It’s all about fusion, comfort and variety. They’ve got your pastas, burgers, and pizzas for when you want something familiar. But for the adventurous side, there are twists – quirky starters, fusion plates, and creative takes on everyday flavours. Their coffee game gets props too, and the cheese cake. Yum!

Alkemy

Speaking of coffee, Alkemy is for the days when all you want is good coffee and a space that feels like a reset button. Tucked into Jubilee Hills, it’s more bright and breezy than a moody lounge. We love the warm tones, greenery, and laid back vibe that helps you lose track of time, true story. The menu keeps its focus where it matters, coffee, coffee and more coffee. From classic espressos to signature blends that get a little fun, Alkemu is clearly designed for caffeine lovers in mind. Enough said.

Ra:tio

Okay, we’ve stumbled on another new coffee haven in Hyderabad, and no complaints here. The moment you step in, you get the vibe where you can read your book in peace or scroll through your feed without feeling judged. Their whole deal is coffee culture – multiple roasters, fresh brews, and beans you’ll want to boast about. Beyond espresso shots and pour overs, you can fill up on sandwiches, pastries and maybe some toasties that are perfect for pairing with your drink, not overpowering. Drop in mornings, afternoons, and for a sunset affogato in the evening, you’ll like the vibe either way.
