We get it - it takes a special kind of commitment to keep up with your gym routine. With sweaty machines, music you don't choose and waiting around for your turn - it can all get super boring! Which is why, we scouted for some of the more unique workouts you can try to switch up your fitness routine. From water aerobics to parkour, here are some unconventional workouts you can try in Hyderabad! 

Water Aerobics

Water baby or not, water aerobics is a fun way to get your cardio session in, without running a mile on the treadmill. It's especially great if you're recovering from an injury and would like to exercise without pressuring your joints. Strokes Swimming Pool offers swimming classes for both adults and children three times a week. They also have terrific water aerobics classes with monthly plans. Get your swimming gear out, this is gonna be fun! 

Salsa, Bachata and Merengue

Latin American dance styles balance sensuality and sophistication like few other dance forms can. If you're looking for fun date ideas with your bae or looking to just learn a fun dance style, check out Furor Hyderabad. They conduct weekly classes for Salsa, Bachata and Merengue for different levels of dancers. They have monthly packages and customisable class options based on your interest. What's more - they even host Salsa socials regularly to keep your moves sharp! 

Parkour and Freerunning

Always wanted to try your hand at parkour after watching it on the big screen? Well, you can now learn how to (we're not talking about Michael Scott's version in The Office :P). Moodukuru's Freerunning offers a great physical gym that looks nothing like your traditional one. Train with celebrity coach Yasaswy Moodukuru, an American Parkour certified coach who specialises in flips, tricks, freerunning and parkour. They conduct classes for children and adults in a semi-private setup with upto four people in every class. 

Kickboxing

This one's for the martial arts enthusiasts - if you've been keen on getting yourself a belt in any form of Martial Arts, let us introduce you to Somasfit Kickboxing and Taekwondo Martial Arts Academy. Cycling

They even offer bicycles on rent if you're looking to try out the sport before buying yourself one.

Tango

Looking to get more confident before your next party? Try learning Tango with the Hyderabad Tango club. We love that they conduct classes where even beginners can learn easily without any hassle. Post four sessions, the trainers claim that you'll be able to dance socially at Milongas (Tango socials). The classes admit limited students and focus on fundamental techniques like walk, embrace, posture, turns and connection with your partner. What's more - they conduct classes at centrally located Ameerpet, so it's easy for you to attend, no matter where you live in town. 

Pilates

Always envied Malaika Arora's strength and deadly looks? Try out the fitness routine that she swears by! The Pilates Studio Hyderabad by Namrata Purohit offers two or three classes every week based on your goals. Their beautiful naturally-lit studios in Banjara Hills and Hitec City are open from Monday - Saturday from 6 AM to 8 PM every day. Their classes are an hour-long with monthly packages starting at INR 7,000. They also offer personal training sessions.
