Haleem is a high-calorie dish that gives instant energy, as it contains slow-digesting and fast-burning ingredients. The dry fruits that are rich in anti-oxidants add to its nutritional value. The meat and dry fruits make it a high-protein food.
The origin of Haleem lies in the popular Arabian dish as Harees. Whose first written Recipe dates back to the 19TH century, As a part of kitab Al Tabikh, which translates to Book of Recipes. World's surviving Arabic cookboik complied by Arab Scribe Abu Muhammad Al Muzzaffar Ibn Sayyar.
Imperial Restaurant at Towlichowki is one of my favorite places to Dine In. Although the food has been impressive, Haleem every year during Ramadan is A Surprise. The texture and quality are so perfect, something, where i don't, get to see in other places. Just like every time, It was Absolutely Delicious. Meaty, Spicy with Great Consistency. This was the Family pack I took a Week back, which serves for 4. Garnished with Cashew, Onion, and Coriander, Also Sherwa, which is Bone Marrow Stock for a little more Flavour. Definitely Recommended.
