With space for just one person to walk through, the 400-sq-feet store is loaded with old books (Telugu, Farsi, French titles, among others) from floor to ceiling and was set up in the year 1972. The books are priced according to their age. If the book is only half a century old, you can buy it for INR 3,000 to INR Rs 5,000. Yes, it can be a bit pricey but it's worth the visit for history lovers.

This complex and the lanes adjoining them transform into a true treasure trove for book lovers. It sells both new and second hand books in various languages. The ideal time to visit the market would be after 11.30 am.

While the main focus of booksellers in this area is to sell academic books (because of the colleges around), many of the roadside sellers sell novels, magazines too. Also, many of them have been moved from the streets into an unused subway near Koti Women’s College. So the next time you are there, go to this hotspot for discovering books at a reasonable price.
