What Makes It Awesome
As laid back as Shake Stir Muddle is, it is the sort of place that makes you want to dress up and get out on a Friday night. Surrounded by rocks, it shares space with a few boulders, which are also visible from the inside. While the outdoor seating can be perfect for a breezy evening, we’re looking at the indoors with a mix of high stools and casual seating. There are also big glass doors, wall art, and attractive chandeliers that complement the all brown colour scheme of the bar. We were here one Saturday evening — we grooved to the music, tasted some small bites and called it a night by dunking some cocktails.
It is big on fusion food and drinks. Think Andhra Spiced Potato Skins, Beetroot & Goat Cheese Tikki, Murg Malai Quesadilla. But what we really found interesting is the cocktail menu with drinks named after our favourite TV shows. You will find drinks named after 2 Broke Girls, How I Met Your Mother, Two And A Half Men, Homeland, and more. We asked for Stranger Things and Sons Of Anarchy and settled for Mac & Cheese Tacos.
The drinks looked stunning and the food was well-presented too. We loved the Sons Of Anarchy, a cocktail made from whiskey, cinnamon syrup, apple juice, and mint because of how it had a different flavour in each sip. The Stranger Things is yet another intriguing drink that’ll keep you wondering which flavour you’re tasting – made from gold rum, fresh lime, passion fruit puree, and maraschino cherry syrup, this drink is rather sweet and nothing like the show. The food, on the other hand, is experimental and we loved how the fusion of mac & cheese happened with tacos!
