Snow in Hyderabad? Uhm, no this is not an alert on global warming. This summer, we're heading to Snow World, the city's OG amusement park. Tucked away in lower tank bund, it's a place not just for kids, FYI. As adults, you too will laugh and giggle your way through artificial but almost real snow. Dress up in jackets and snow boots and enter the shivering cold arena which is, we're not kidding, -5 degrees. As soon as you step inside the snowy wonderland, you'll find igloos, big polar bears, penguins, and alpine trees. And then? Go completely bonkers! Lay down and make snow angels, have snow ball fights and leave footprints in the snow.
Want to double the fun? Race your pals to the slow slide, snow merry-go-round, snow bushel ball, snow volley ball and snow dancing spots. Personally, we can never get enough of the slide and the thrill of laying flat on your stomach on a board and sliding down the ice. After a couple of rounds of that, make your way to the ice hotel (yes, just like Pingu) and have a hot cuppa of soup or hot chocolate. They serve it piping hot in an ice glass and it will warm your soul. You get to spend about an hour inside and it will be nothing short of a hoot!
Prices: At the moment, they charge INR 250 for children and INR 450 for adults and this price includes the entry, special warm coats, gloves, socks and boots.
