From moulding a child’s personality to giving individuals a transformation and a chance to stand out, Youngistan Foundation is proving how helping others can make a difference and provide a better life for people in our society. Started in 2012 (registered in 2014) by Arun Daniel Yellamaty, the NGO was born out of a moment of epiphany whose mission is now to engage, empathise and empower.
They provide a platform and hands-on training to youth, and partner with corporate, social entrepreneurs, and government bodies for united action; enable youth and communities to work together to transform lives and spread kindness, especially to those who are living on streets. They have eight projects under them. Starting with Hunger & Nutrition (strives to uplift the dietary conditions of those in dire need for food), The Bright Spark Education (help children with their basic literacy skills and engage them in creative activities), Transformers (gives a makeover to street dwellers), Women of Courage (aims to build safe spaces of dialogue and empower adolescent girls at government schools, slums, and orphanages), Rush To Help (attend people who met with an accident or otherwise and help them), Blood Donors (if you want to donate blood, register with them), Home for the Homeless (find safe havens and relocate the homeless) and Youngistan Animal Heroes (educating children on animal abuse).
