What you see in the pics is a beautifully baked bun along with Malai (Fresh Cream). Some might find this combination very unusual, however you may quote me on this but Malai-Bun happens to be widely accepted across the city and is usually had for Breakfast.
The off-white colour of malai is because the milk has been boiled for over 45 mins. The milk is pasteurised for a long time and then the milk-skin is seperated and served with a mix of Khowa (Thickened milk) and a garnish of sugar. (As per your preference ofcourse.!) The milk however goes into making Chai.!
You may find this dish being served at many well-known cafes across the city, however if you wish to try this, please note that this dish is only available before or until sunrise as its a breakfast item. Usually the time span of serving this dish is between 4am - 7am.
