BTS, EXO, Black Pink (K-pop) and K-drama fans, assemble. If South Korean movies, shows, videos, insta posts ever tempted you to try the cuisine, you're in luck. Here's a list of all the restaurants in Hyderabad that serve scrumptious Korean delicacies. Some authentic, some fusion, this is your meal pass to embark a gastronomical adventure with your squad.

Goguryeo

Run by actual Korean nationals, you can expect truly authentic Korean cuisine here. This restaurant has a rather simple and clean ambience, nothing to complain about but one thing stands out and if you're a K-pop fan, you're going to love it. If you couldn't guess already, the walls are decked with BTS and Black Pink posters. Now, these folks serve everything and more that you've seen in K-dramas - Kimchi Chigae, Kimbaps, Ramyun and a variety of rice bowls. If you can handle your spice, great, the dishes are quite fiery. Otherwise, don't forget to give the waiter a nudge about keeping things light and breezy.

Must-try: Dumpling Ramyun, Kimchi Jeon and wash it down with Ssanghwa Tea.

Price For Two: INR 1,800 approx

Haiku

Okay, we know Haiku isn't an out and out Korean restaurant, but hey, they call themselves an oriental and even the ambience has many asian notes to it like paper lanterns, cane furniture, and minimalist styling. But, for once, ditch that urge to focus on Chinese and focus on everything Korean. We're talking about Korean Bbq Chicken, Spicy Korean Chicken Bao, Assorted Mushroom in Spicy Korean Kimchi, and more. But here's the catch, there are fewer options for vegetarians and we hope that changes soon.

Must-try: Spicy Korean Chicken Ramen, Spicy Korean Chicken Bao and Assorted Mushroom in Spicy Korean Kimchi

PaPaYa

Date night or a fancy occasion? PaPaYa should be your choice. The chefs do everything Asian just right and our high expectations are always met, truly. Dress up in your finest and find a swanky corner amidst the warm lighting, rich wooden decor and gorgeous lighting (we prefer a dinner scene here). Being a restaurant offering many flavours, they have a decent selection of Korean dishes. Again, the food here is a bit spicy (typical to the cuisine) so you have to ask them to tone it down or be ready to wash it off with lots of drinks. Psst, their bar menu is fab.

Must try: Jjigae soup, corn fed chicken leg and rock shrimp tempura

Price For Two: INR 2,000

Hibacci

If you're around Banjara Hills and craving Korean food, head over to Hibacci. It's a North-East Asian Asian restaurant that has good Korean options, few but delicious. The inviting ambience with classic wooden furniture, huge french windows, homey planters and a big buddha statue sets a calming ambience, perfect to cool down on a hot day. Now, don't get fooled by their sakura-themed menu. Start your meal with a boba tea or a shirley temple, whatever floats your boat and order away.

Must-try: Chicken Bibimbap, Kimchi Ramen Noodles and Korean Style Corndog

Price For Two: INR 1,200 approx

Asian Treat

Month end blues? You don't have to crush your Korean cravings for that. Asian Treat is our budget-friend pick for a heaty Korean dinner. Cozy and quirky, we adore the colourful wall accents, big paper lanterns, neon lights and the floral sets. The whole vibe makes for great catch-ups. On that note, if you're going here with a gang of five, make sure to reserve a table. It's a small space and people legit queue up for their food.

Must-try: Korean Veg Tofu Soup, Gamja Jorin Korean Chili Sauce, Korean Chicken Wings and Korean Kimchi Fried Rice

Price For Two: INR 1,000 approx

Ta-Ma-Sha Restro Cafe

Yey for vegetarians. Why? This is an all-veg Asian resto-cafe with a dedicated Korean selection. We'll get to the dishes but first, vibe check. For a place called Tamasha, the ambience is rather sober. Expect a typical cafe setting, nice and airy with sleek modern decor. We're not complaining because we would recommend coming here for lunch on a busy work day to get out of the office and cubicle rut. Can't stop, won't stop hustling? Fine by us, you can work out of this place too.

Must-try: Soft tofu stew, Bibimbap, Jajammiyan, and Spicy Gochujang Noodle

Price For Two: INR 1,200

Chubby Cho

A cult favorite restaurant in Hyderabad, we cannot complete a list on Asian cuisine without Chubby Cho. From the ambience to their chefs, everything is top notch. First impressions, we love the plush feel of the deep navy blue, wooden decor with paper windows and doors. It's tastefully done with inspiration from Chinese and Japanese interior trends and yes, the vibe is just right. There's ample seating so plan an outing with your squad and gorge on Korean food. Hint, Chubby Cho is immensely famous for its ramen.

Must-try: Crispy Korean Chicken Bao, Spicy Korean Ramen Bowl and Bibimbap.
