Festive shopping can prove to be expensive, with so many parties and events to attend. With the wedding season right around the corner as well, there's a lot to buy (and save). Whether you're shopping for cute home decor, kitchen utilities, clothes, accessories or fresh flowers, head to these markets in Hyderabad for the best deals. 

KPHB

Kukatpally has been known as a hub for festive and wedding shopping for years. While you have stores like Taruni, Joy Alukkas and a host of gold jewellery stores for big ticket shopping, don't let the bylanes go unexplored to find some amazing clothing. Start from the lane next to Remedy Hospital to find yourself some great deals on festive sarees, Anarkalis, ready-made blouses, dupattas, kurtas, dresses and accessories like junk jewellery as well. The area is almost always crowded, so go prepared for the sensory overdose.

General Bazaar

A hub for festive decor, fabrics and everything in between, General Bazaar has been a favourite for scores of Hyderabadis for years. If you're hosting a function or party anytime soon, General Bazaar is your best bet to find party supplies including buntings, festive lights, serveware, and party favours as well.

Begum Bazaar

From handicrafts, jewellery, kitchenware, crockery, home accessories to gifting stores, Begum Bazaar is pretty much a one-stop shop for festive shopping for the home. Want to purchase heavy cookware? There are stores that sell the best of aluminium, copper and brassware here at wholesale prices. There are scores of shops that sell imitation jewellery in stunning designs starting at just INR 50. You could also get your hands on Diwali gift boxes and return gifts at super affordable prices here. Since most stores here are wholesale, they easily process bulk orders as well.

Laad Bazaar

This chaotic spot next to Charminar is known for its lacquer bangle stores. Whether or not you like bangles, pick up a set from here for keepsakes and the experience of it all. For junk jewellery fans, this spot is a haven, and stores earrings in a zillion styles. You can also find kurtas for as less as INR 100 along with other daily wear items. They also have scores of stores along the Charminar selling everything from fabrics, festive kurtas, bridal lehengas, imitation, gold and silver jewellery sets to khada dupattas. We recommend shopping from the stores here if you're picking up bangles in bulk as return gifts for an upcoming function or party at home.

Shilparamam

While not as affordable as the rest of the bazaars on this list, Shilparamam, bang in the middle of HITEC City is great for picking up handicrafts for your home, apparel, footwear and accessories as well. Don't be fooled by the shack-like stalls here, they stock some of the most exquisite fabrics and clothes from across the country. All said and done, we'd recommend this spot for picking up ceramics like planters, tea sets and decor pieces for the festive season to add a quirky Indian touch to your spaces. They make for excellent gifts too.

Badichowdi

One of the OG shopping spots in Hyderabad, Badichowdi has gems like Memsaheb, Fair Price, Shanti Collection and Balaji Exclusive among others. You can shop for festive women's wear, including lehengas, Anarkalis and even dupattas at these stores at relatively affordable prices. Want to create something from scratch? The stores here have a pretty impressive variety as well.

Sultan Bazar

If you get an adrenaline rush out of bargaining and copping the best deals, Sultan Bazar is the place for you. This frenzy-filled market in Koti is possibly one of the only markets that comes close to Delhi's Sarojini. So if you're on a budget, Sultan Bazar has the best finds in the market for you, with some digging of course. From party wear dresses, Anarkalis, junk jewellery, trendy footwear, kurtas and cute sling bags, the market is great for both festive and everyday shopping.
