India’s First Space Museum In Saifabad
The country's first private space museum is in Hyerabad, which was launched this year. Housed in the Birla Science Museum, the space museum has set up in association with the ISRO. The museum is an initiative of the Birla Archaeological and Cultural Research Institute (BACRI). It offers you several exciting exhibits and models contributed by ISRO including the GSLV MK III, the launch vehicle of Chandrayaan 2, satellites like Rohini, Chandrayaan 1, Mangalyaan, the International Space Station and many more.
Country's Largest Indoor Amusement Destination
Covering 70,000 sq ft of space featuring indoor rides and interactive games, Tridom (launched at Sarath City Capital Mall in Hyderabad in 2019) is India's largest indoor amusement destination that caters to everyone above the age of two. It also features India’s first Paradrop virtual reality attraction that delivers realistic paragliding experience.
Infinity Para Sports Academy & Rehab Centre
The academy, touted as the first-of-its-kind charitable national para-sports rehabilitation and training academy in Asia, came into existence this year in Begumpet.
Metro Rolled Into The City
After a wait of many years, Hyderabad finally started the Metro Rail services in 2017 end. The elevated metro rail project here is the country's second-largest metro rail network with 56 km in operation, next only to Delhi. Also, Ameerpet Metro Station, an interchange metro station between the Red Line and Blue Line of the Hyderabad Metro, is one of the largest metro stations in India with sprawling premises over 200,000 square feet.
India’s First E-Boarding Facility
Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) is the first airport to offer the e-boarding facility to domestic fliers, making it the first airport in India to do so. The facility was inaugurated in 2015.
