What Makes it Awesome

Remember when cousins and friends from abroad would come over, and we'd hound them with requests for chocolates? Well, all those requests may soon be a thing of the past, thanks to this brand in Rajahmundry that's making excellent artisanal small batch chocolates, right on our home turf! Bon Fiction offers an array of dark, milk and vegan chocolate bars in unique flavours that are on par with international brands.

We found a total of 14 flavours in their collection, with something to offer for everyone. Love dark chocolate? Get ready to pick up their bars on a repeat basis. While their 'Out in The Dark' variant goes up to 73 percent cacao, they have other variants with 64 percent cacao that are a perfect addition to a cup of dark hot chocolate. They have milk chocolate variants in Roasted Almond, Hazelnut and Coffee variants that aren't overly sweet like most milk chocolate bars. If you're a coffee lover, definitely give these a go.

Bon Fiction also has some unconventional flavours on offer, like The Mango Menace, A Rose in Pistachio Skies, and The Cranberry Chilli Chase (yes, this one's got a hint of Chilli in it, you'll love it). Our absolute favourites are A Marvellous Mint Life — a peppermint flavoured bar that'll refresh you in the middle of a work slump and Lost in an Orange Haze which tastes as good as some of the bars from chocolate brands abroad, if not better.

The packaging is minimal, with beautiful artwork unique to each variant. The inner packaging is hip and instantly gives us artisanal chocolate vibes. The bars make for great gifts or addition to gift hampers too.

The coolest part about it all is that Bon Fiction is a brand that's fully Indian, made with cacao beans that are grown along the banks of the river Godavari at the founders' farms. The beans are fermented in-house, making Bon Fiction one of the very few brands in India to do so. We're told that creating the 14 flavours took a whopping 300 trials! The effort surely paid off, since the brand has two prestigious awards in to its name, given by The International Academy of Chocolates.

If you're bored of the chocolates available in markets today, we recommend picking up a bar of Bon Fiction. You'll be surprised!
