Creativity is expressed in all shapes, forms, sizes and designs. Clay is one such material that promotes immense creativity, is utilitarian and decorative. Taking inspiration from this, Nikita founded Mṛttikkā, an online store involved in making contemporary and minimalist earrings using clay.
Each one of her pieces is designed, developed and finished using hand to make sure you wear the highest quality jewellery. We love how each piece is different from the other, making it bespoke.
One of our favourites is from the Goddess Of The Forest collection. The soft tones on the earrings and the delicate flower print makes these earrings perfect for a great going-out look (these earrings deserve to go places). The blue and grey undertones with gold dust flowers on the Kara earrings are great to wear for your next Zoom call (unless you’re back at your office desk, you can wear them there too). But, hey! There's more than just flowers. Kalani earring is an abstract with swirly golden metal dangling from it - another absolute favourite.
And - all of Mṛttikkā's pieces have little stories behind them - You can find them on the brand’s Instagram page and also order directly from there. Prices range from INR 500 to INR 1,500.
