Surrounded by greenery and the sound of students chatting away, Chai Kahani is a tea joint that's plucked right out of college nostalgia books. Great tea and the company of doggos make it even better.
This Budget Chai Joint In Jubilee Hills Is Bae During The Monsoon
Pocket-Friendly, Outdoor seating
What Makes It Awesome
Located inside the MCR HRD in Jubilee Hills, Chai Kahani is a budget tea joint that offers several varieties of tea. The outdoor seating area is spread across the lawn as well as benches while the indoor seating is quite simple and has around 5-6 tables. The menu is written on a blackboard, so just look through it and order your chai and nibbles.
We ordered a masala chai and an almond chai along with a bowl of Maggi and cheese omelette. The Maggi arrived on a steel plate, and was spicier than your usual Maggi - perfect for a monsoon snack. Next was the chai — while the almond one was decent, the masala chai is what will take us the joint again. The perfect ending to our rainy day meal was the omelette. Cheesy, gooey, but unfortunately a little salty, this dish of omelette and toast is our comfort food.
What Could Be Better
The mosquitoes can be a menace, but the lack of dedicated parking lot might force you to park in and around the campus.
