Truth be told we’ve all been waiting for Durgam Cheruv to be spruced up. What was once a lake abounding flora and fauna has turned into a dumping ground and we cannot rant enough about the wafting stench. But here’s a piece of news that sounds like a symphony to one’s ear. Raheja Corporation has proposed to rejuvenate the lake as a part of their CSR initiative and Telangana State and GHMC have also joined hands to make this happen. In the first phase, the hyacinth covering the water will be cleared; the lakefront will also make space for a walking/cycling track {woot}, a children’s park, a yoga corner along with benches for you to enjoy the lake view. Other facilities include a cycle stand, parking lot, and clean toilets. We’re pumped about this news and we are all set to breathe in some fresh air {finally} here. What about you?
