A gym lover? A fitness freak? Or a Sportsperson? Then this place is yours. How many times we hear about proteins in our daily lives. One of the key ingredients for a healthy and cheerful lifestyle. Talking about proteins, what’s better than an Egg. A restaurant completely dedicated to eggs. From the appetisers to desserts, everything has egg in it.
With so many options to choose from, this restaurant is living up to its name. Talking about the ambience of this place, it’s a double floor sitting restaurant which can easily accommodate 40-50. With wall arts and frame, they have a decent interior. The usage of colour yellow thus represents how important eggs are. A few days back I was at captain egg with my friends to try out their widespread menu. Let’s get started.
So we started with the basic coolers. We ordered some watermelon mojito, Belgian choco shake and a strawberry protein shake. They were pretty decent.
From the appetisers :
1.Reshmi Malai Egg Chaap: usually you won’t get soya chaap cooked perfectly in Hyderabad, but the one I had here was good. Boiled egg pieces were added to it. A creamy sauce to accompany the dish was a good idea.
2.Boiled Chinese Tadka: Boiled egg pieces stir-fried with Chinese flavours. Was a decent one.
3. Sichuan Maggi Roll: loved it. This was something different and tasted amazing.
4.Egg Pamphlet: omelette filled with veggies and sauce. A good effort.
From the Main course :
1.Egg Katki Keema: egg keema gravy was served with pav buns. A good combination of flavours. A bit of spicy.
2.Surti Takatak: This was anther egg gravy that was served with pav buns. Unique flavours, highly recommended. This a very good flavour profile to it.
3.Egg Chinese Sizzler: Star of the show. Highly recommended. You can choose from noodles or rice. With the sunny side up and an egg starter, this one was a complete dish.
4. Veg Biryani: Was a good effort.
From the desserts :
1.Warm French Toast: not the classical French toast I was expecting. Instead, they used fruit bread in it.
2.Egg Rabri: I had mix feelings about this.
3.chocolate mousse: needs improvement.
Desserts were a bit off. Needs a lot of improvement.
Overall experience was good. So many options to choose from definitely gives the freedom to taste as many dishes as you can. Staff was very polite and humble.
